Twilight Cake

Here is the cake I did for my friend's birthday - she's a twilight freak like so many of us out there. So I thought it would be fun to do an apple cake. I baked a heart-shaped cake and just carved an upside-down V in the bottom. Then I covered the cake (red velvet) with red candy melts. I piped a stem and leaves with buttercream icing, and my friend Becky did the writing.

For the lion's mane I used toasted coconut, and the lamb's fleece is mini marshmallows, cut in half.

Your cakes are beautiful!!! What an incredible talent you have! I tried making a cake with a filling once and it turned into the "sleeping beauty cake". I don't think I have ever laughed so hard! :)
I LOVE the twighlight cake!! Way cute for Valentines Day!

That Twilight cake is awesome! And the lion and lamb cupcakes are so perfectly cute! Would you allow me to share a photo on Club Twilight? (at clubtwilight.flux.com) I think our fellow Twilighters there would love it. :-)
