Over-the-Hill 50th Birthday Cake

Here is the over-the-hill cake I did for a friend's mom's birthday party. The bottom tier is krispy treat & the top two cakes are pumpkin with rum buttercream filling.

Woman, you are amazing. I hope you still remember us little people when you're making millions. Maybe I can help stir frosting or something ;)

Your cakes are insane!! How do you make something like that?!
You are very talented. I don't know if I would even be able to eat something that pretty.

Oh, who am I kidding?! Of course I would. I am not passing up krispy treat cake!

maria, thank you for your comment! the secret of the topsy turvy look is that the top of each cake is angled and each cake is tapered so it is wider at the top than the bottom - also each cake is anchored into the cake under it by cutting a hole to make a lip for it to sit in - and the surface it sits on is flat. if you want all the details you can look at the online tutorial thing I followed: forums.egullet.org - or you can google topsy turvy cakes and it is the 5th link down.
